Our columnist C.A. Verstraete is a Lizzie Borden expert and she brings a whole new take to the story. With release of her second volume in the series coming on May 14th, we thought we would bring you a bit about volume one and a teaser for volume two.
Verstraete gives readers a solid explanation for why Borden did indeed kill her parents in the gruesome axe murders of 1892. She committed the double murders because she had no other choice. Or, so Verstraete would have readers believe.
Her book, Lizzie Borden, Zombie Hunter follows the real life crime, the trial, and other events in Lizzie Borden’s life. It contains excerpts from the actual inquest and newspaper records of the time but then offers readers an entirely different take on the gruesome crimes.
