Editor's Column
SPRING/SUMMER
2012

Welcome to the newest issue of Mysterical-E!

The weather's been hot here in the northeast but that's just the way I like it. Cold is for polar bears.

This issue brings with it some of our ever faithful columnists with more advice, opinions, discoveries. We'vd also got a record number of interviews.

You're gonna love Jim Doherty's column and his best of the best list. Ten Best lists always cause people to argue or better yet, make ther own lists. If you disagree with Jim or feel one of your favorites has been left out, send us your own ten best list and we'll publish them in the next issue. If you send your pic, we'll publish that along with your list, if you like. Who knows? Maybe you'll be inspired enough to think up an idea for a column of your own.

Stories? We've got a truckload. Enough to keep you inside reading and staying cool.

BSP CORNER
Promotion is an aspect of the business none of us enjoy. Well, scratch that. Some people enjoy it all too much, you know who you are. That only makes the rest of us look like slackers or worse, amateurs. But in today's marketplace, innundated as it has become with more and more materials (did you hear about tht guy who self-pubbed his TO DO list?) promotion is both necessary and even more important. There's lots of noise out there in the marketplace, and we'll add a bit of our own.

I'll be posting some promo bits with each issue. If you have something you'd like me to post, send me the details and pics, etc.

Our Features Editor, Barbara Hodges, has a new book out: One Last Sin
One Last Sin

The fiery crash of a private jet leaves a mystery in its wreckage. Alone in the devastation is a man, unhurt, but with no memory of the crash, his name or a past life. Who is this man? It’s up to FBI Agent Gail Crane, Santa Maria Police Detective Darcie Devonhsire and Ex-CIA Operative Morgan Garrett to discover the answers. Not an easy task, for every answer found two questions take its place.

Crimes on Latimer (Lethe Press)

Crimes on Latimer

Before he dealt with that Murder On Camac,

Before he found A Body On Pine,

Marco Fontana was investigating Crimes On Latimer.

Six of Fontana’s early cases show some of the forces that helped shape the young P.I. In high school, Fontana discovers he has a knack for crime solving. Not only that, he likes it. When his English teacher is accused of murdering the school disciplinarian, Marco takes it upon himself to investigate. Some years later, after having explored his options, we find Marco in his first office on Latimer and Twelfth. Trouble easily finds him there. From dealing with a stolen DaVinci sketch, to uncovering a blackmailing murderer, to having a trip to celebrate Pride in NY turned into a nightmare, to presiding over a murderous leather competition, Marco develops his investigative skills and techniques for solving difficult cases. Crimes on Latimer presents just six of Fontana’s early cases. There are other mysteries in his past which will be explored in cases to come. These tales open a window onto Marco Fontana's world before he found himself dealing with Murder on Camac.
