Here a Con, There a Con, Everywhere a Con Con

 

Mystery Conferences have been going on for years. The perfect way for fans and authors to meet. Collectors have the chance to get their books signed, and fans are able to hear their favorite author talk about their craft of murder and mayhem. New authors and established authors speak about their books and writing. Each year guests of honor and toastmasters or mistresses headline the impressive list of each of these conferences.

The Great Manhattan Mystery Conclave
November 3-5, 2006

This year's Great Manhattan Mystery Conclave is being held November 3-5th at the Ramada Plaza Hotel. At its core, the Great Manhattan Mystery Conclave is built around the "small-town" mystery. As such, the two keynote speakers for the third Great Manhattan Mystery Conclave are Nancy Pickard , who is currently writing a series of small-town mysteries set in Kansas, and Mike Hayes , whose quirky Mad Dog and Englishman stories about Kansas life on the high plains made him a big hit at the first Conclave.

SleuthFest is the premiere conference for writers of mystery and crime fiction, an experience unlike any other conference you've attended.

At our four-day fest, you'll get hands-on workshops led by bestselling authors, four tracks of writing and business panels with a wide variety of authors.

Mayhem in the Midlands is always held in Omaha , Nebraska , the weekend before Memorial Day.

The conference is for both mystery fans and writers of mystery, thriller, and romantic suspense fiction. Activities include:

The cost of $100 ($90 for members of Partners in Crime, Boise , and other sponsoring organizations) includes all Saturday conference workshops and panels, luncheon, and reception. Beginning May 1, 2007, the cost goes up to $125 ($115 for members)--register early and save.
