Spring Has Finally Sprung

The Spring Issue of Mysterical-E is finally here – and it has a lot to offer. Stories to entertain, artwork to dazzle, articles, and more. Of course the winners of the Lethal Bunny contest are included along with the announcement of a new contest. Some of the writers are familiar to you and some are new – all are worth your attention.

It's been a long road to this issue. The delay is due in no small part to the problems associated with my move. Getting my house ready for sale and having work done on the new place were overwhelming chores and ate a considerable amount of time and energy. Of course, hiring a jerk for a contractor and watching him take five months to do things that should have been done in one, didn't help matters. He's been fired and new help finished up almost everything. Things are finally settling; the fine dust from the contractor is not, however, going away. No matter how much I sweep, mop, or vacuum. I need dust cleaning hints.

If one thing went right, ten things went wrong through this whole process. I was without my computer or the Internet for almost two months. When I finally was able to live in this place, it took Comcast five, count ‘em, five in home visits before they got the TV and Cable set up for me. Not that the job was difficult or confusing – nope, it was dues to a series of mistakes, forgotten items, and other delights.

This whole process has been absolute proof of Murphy's Law.

A friend said, “The Universe knows you're a writer and is throwing a lot of material at you right now.” I guess we all have such “material” tossed our way. Then it's up to us to do something with it.

I want to thank all of the staff -- they worked without question, kept checking in on me, and commiserated. I needed that. A special thanks to Gin -- without her this work would not be half as fun nor half as beautiful.

And thanks to all of you who inquired about me and/or Mysterical-E through the time of this delay. You kept me pushing to get this done as soon as I was able to do so.

ENJOY THE ISSUE.

Staff News

With this issue we say goodbye to Allen Price one of our Assistant Editors. Allen, like many of us, is also a writer and has decided to spend more time on his work. We wish him well.

We can certainly use more columnists, editors, and reviewers. Contact me if you're interested in editing, reviewing, or if you have an idea for some special feature.

A Special Thank You

To all those who voted in the Preditors and Editors Readers Poll which garnered Mysterical-E three awards. I feel particularly honored and to have received the Best Magazine Editor Award.
