REVIEW OF ROBERTA ISLIEB'S
A BURIED LIE

By Jodie L. Ball

Luck is finally on Cassie Burdette's side. She has successfully completed qualifying school, and she's scheduled to play in the ShopRite LPGA classic tour. Not only does she get to play as a pro, she even has an opportunity to earn some money doing something she loves. Luck, Cassie unfortunately learns, has a dark side.

She's barely into the tournament when Erica LeBoutillier, one of the people from the first group of golfers Cassie plays with and coaches is found dead. Dr. Hugh Gladstone, Dr. Travis Smith, and Dr. Roger Rantz, Erica's coworkers at Meditron Pharmaceuticals, are upset to learn of Erica's apparent suicide. Cassie, however, can't accept that Erica's death is a suicide and begins an informal investigation of her own, despite the local authorities' orders that she cease her investigation.

Not long into her investigation, Cassie finds herself a target of the killer. Can Cassie unearth the killer before the killer murders her?

A BURIED LIE is labeled "A Golf Lover's Mystery," but if you aren't a golfer, don't let that stop you from reading this book. For those of us who don't know the terminology, Isleib has provided a glossary of terms.
